What I Learned
In this project, I studied the structural and magnetic properties of cobalt titanate (CoTiO₃) using experimental data and theoretical models. I developed a deeper understanding of crystal field theory and the effects of spin-orbit coupling on magnetic anisotropy. I also gained valuable experience in data analysis, fitting theoretical neutron scattering curves to experimental data using MATLAB, and presenting my findings in a clear and structured report. This project significantly improved my skills in scientific writing and technical problem-solving, and significantly increased my fluency in MATLAB.
